Della and The Dealer - written by Hoyt Axton - All instruments and vocals by Bill MillsHoyt Axton was a great C&W performer as well as being the writer of some of the best, and most well remembered songs from the 1960's throughout the 1980's. I have long been a fan of the very talented musician, songwriter... and even actor that he was. He wrote some wonderful 'story songs' like 'Evangelina' and there is a lot to be learned from his tight but evocative lyrics.
